Roots of Music
The Roots of Music is a not-for-profit organization designed to address the critical need for music education for New Orleans at-risk middle-schoolers. This program is year-round and tuition free to all participants. The Roots of Music also provides all instruments, academic tutors from local universities, free transportation and a hot meal daily. The goal of the program is to preserve and promote the music culture of New Orleans and to provide the children of our city an alternative to street life.
