FIRST TIME APPLICANTS TO THE D'ADDARIO MUSIC FOUNDATION
Letter of Inquiry
All
new
organizations or organizations that have not been funded by the D'Addario Music Foundation in the past two years must submit a letter of inquiry to
foundation@daddario.com
before being invited to submit a grant application.
Letters of inquiry will be accepted from October through January if the intention is to apply for a formal grant at our March 15th deadline and from April through July if the intention is to apply for a formal grant at our September 15th deadline.
Letters of inquiry should contain the following information:
- Introduction — including not for profit/tax-exempt status
- Description of org/description of project requiring support
- Statement of need
- Methodology — # of participants who will be served
- Brief discussion of other funding sources
- Final summary — requested funding amount (our average cash award is $2500).
If you are an organization re-applying for support you do not have to submit a letter of inquiry. You may skip directly to the grant application process.
It is recommended that applicants review the grant application questions as a primer before submitting their letter of inquiry to get a feel for the type of information the foundation seeks to receive.
